Members of the board of the National Steel Raw Materials Exploration Agency paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite back in March, 2020.

The delegation was led by the Board Chairman, Dr. Oluyomi Finnih and the Director General of the agency, Engr. Umar A. Hassan. Other members in the delegation include Dr. Ademola Onifade, Engr. M. K. Olasupo and former Director of Metallurgical Inspectorate and Raw Materials Development of the Ministry, Mr. Victor Ihebinike.

The team commended the strides recorded by the ministry under the leadership of the current ministers and expressed confidence in their ability to lead the sector to greater heights.

The board reiterated its commitment to support the efforts of the Minister and Minister of State towards achieving the mandate of driving the sector to prosperity, in a bid to diversify the nation’s economy using solid minerals.

Also on the agenda was the board’s request for continued support and enhanced capacity to enable the agency carry out its very crucial task of sourcing for steel raw materials across the country; a task Finnih said has yielded tremendous results over the years.
