The National Steel Raw Materials Exploration Agency (NSRMEA) has embarked on a 3-week Capacity Building Training exercise for its technical staff. The training, which is meant to enhance their effectiveness and prepare the staff for future projects, is in line with the agency's overriding objective to support the country's quest for industrialisation by exploring for steel raw materials across the country.
Flagging off Round Two of the exercise, the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the agency, Mr Kola Ogunbiyi, noted that continuous training is crucial to the smooth operations of the agency and in line with the Performance Management Contract signed in the presence of the Honourable Minister, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu and Minister of State, Hon. Maigari Ahmadu.
"We have a mandate that we must fulfil, and upscaling the skills and capacities of our staff is one way to ensure that they are kept abreast of developments in their fields. This will ensure we continue to do our work in a manner that is proactive and in line with best practices. Our aim is to contribute our quota to the objectives of our mother Ministry, and the overall aspirations of the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The second round of training focused on geochemical mapping and modern core drilling techniques to Geoscientists and Drillers.
